QGBI Region 12 Area Day

Last Saturday Region 12 of the Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles held its Powys’ Area Day in Llanidloes at the Minerva Arts Centre. The event was very well attended with several participants travelling quite a distance.  Members were welcomed by Jean Pegg, Chairman of the Quilt Association. There was a Show and Tell session where members talked about their wonderful quilts, including Heather Cardwell, one of the Quilt Association’s City and Guilds Graduates.  Doreen Gough, one of our Trustees, showed and talked about several of the quilts in our collection.  Those who attended were kept busy during the day stitching hexagons to be used for making Christmas decorations.  here are a few photos of the day.
